Watch: ‘Game of Thrones’ Meets Taylor Swift in Nerdist Spoof

Watch: 'Game of Thrones' Meets Taylor Swift in Nerdist Spoof

We’re only a month away from the new season of “Game of Thrones,” which means that “GoT” parody season is in full swing.

The latest comes from Nerdist, and if nothing else, it’s hard to look away from. In it, Nick Mundy is playing “A Song of Fire and Ice” creator George R. R. Martin, singing a re-worded version of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Page” that centers on fan-favorite character Daenerys Targaryen.

There’s some cute commentary here, as when Martin sings “Yes it’s true, no one’s safe, but isn’t that what makes it great?” by way of telling fan-favorite Dany that, no, she isn’t safe from a quick kill-off either. But mostly, it’s a well-produced, definitively absurd mix of lyrics, visuals and rhythm, with an impressively-committed performance from Mundy at its center.
