The President of the United States has been on the record for a while as being a huge fan of HBO’s seminal drama “The Wire.” But now, he’s taken his fandom to a new level.

In this intimate, 12-minute conversation, President Obama spoke with “The Wire” creator David Simon about the realities Simon depicted on screen during the show’s five-season run, especially when it came to the prosecution of drug crimes in inner cities.

Obama’s overall message: “We’re all responsible for finding a solution to this.”
