Ben Affleck and Matt Damon Originally Had a Gay Sex Scene In The 'Good Will Hunting' Script

Harvey Weinstein was the talk of the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend, offering loads of revelations during his Tribeca Talks panel

One of them was that a gay sex scene was in the original script Ben Affleck and Matt Damon gave him for “Good Will Hunting.”

“I read the script and had the first meeting with Ben and Matt, and [executives] were there telling them how much I love the script,” Weinstein said. “And I said, ‘Guys, on page 60 there’s a scene where the two professors perform oral sex on each other. I don’t understand that.’ I thought they were both heterosexual in the way they talked before — he lost his wife and he talks about his family. I’m like, ‘What the hell was that?’ And they said, ‘That’s the red herring! Now we know you’re the first guy in a studio to have read the script.’ … They gave it to me on the spot. They said, ‘We’re making it with you because you read it yourself.'”

So, I guess we can kinda say that two guys blowing each other is the reason “Good Will Hunting” got made?
