BOND/360 Will Explore Plus-Size Model Controversies in 'A Perfect 14'

Bond Strategy and Influence distribution arm BOND/360 is set to partner with filmmaker Giovanna Morales Vargas on her feature directorial debut “A Perfect 14.”

Produced by James Earl O’Brien (2014 comedy “The Cover-Up”), the documentary looks at the controversial term “plus-size” in society and the fashion industry. Executive-produced by BOND/360 founder and CEO Marc Schiller, “Perfect 14” follows the journeys of three famous plus-size models — Elly Mayday, Kerosene Deluxe and Laura Wells — as they fight against distorted body image perceptions, sharing the personal experiences that drive them to make positive change in the world.

The film features interviews with experts in the field, including models, designers, photographers and magazine editors to also consider the media’s impact on the portrayal of models and the body image of women. “Perfect 14” will be released in 2016.

Founded in 2013 to boost filmmakers’ relationships with fans, New York-based BOND/360 also produced Alex Winter’s Silk Road doc “Deep Web,” which hits Epix May 31, and filmmaker Yael Melamede’s upcoming “(Dis)Honesty — The Truth About Lies,” hitting theaters and VOD May 22. BOND/360 also steered acclaimed titles “Particle Fever” and “Advanced Style.”
