Though its second season wrapped things up so perfectly we’d be able to handle if it was the end of “The Comeback,” we’re still very excited to learn that it will not.
In an interview with Blackbook, Kudrow said there will indeed be a third dose of Valerie Cherish and company, though (and this is probably a good thing) it won’t necessarily happen anytime soon.
“At first I didn’t talk to [series co-creator] Michael [Patrick King] about it, out of panic,” Kudrow said. “But we were done in December and I thought, ‘Oh God that means we have to start up again next month. I don’t know if I can, it’s too soon. I’m too tired.’”
Kudrow said her and King said HBO has signed off their decision for a third season, telling them they can wait as long as they want. Don’t rush brilliance!
