The time is nigh: Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is upon us. Though it follows up the biggest super hero movie of all time (the original “The Avengers”), the core constituent crowd who has seen it already seems to love it.
In film two, Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program by creating an A.I. platform, but things go awry. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are put to the test, the fate of the planet rests in their hands, etc. etc. with super hero platitudes (maybe these guys need to get some new plots). But it seems from most accounts that nothing major happens and nobody dies, because franchise.
‘Age Of Ultron’ features a crazy big cast that includes Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), War Machine (Don Cheadle), The Vision (Paul Bettany), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Other players include Ultron (James Spader, Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell),
Directed by Joss Whedon (though likely his last Marvel outing for the foreseeable future), “Avengers: Age of Ultron” arrives on May 1. Watch two new TV spots with new footage below, plus a rash of interviews from recent press junkets.
