Want to hear your favorite stars from “Parks and Rec” reflect nostalgically about their show? We’ve got four exclusive clips from the first episode of “Behind the Story with the Paley Center,” a new non-fiction series from Sundance TV featuring in-depth discussions with the stars, writers and producers behind some of television’s most popular series. Episodes will feature Amy Poehler (“Parks & Recreation”), Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), among others.
April and Andy
In this clip, the always-deadpan Aubrey Plaza and an enthusiastic Chris Pratt discuss the relationship between their characters, April and Andy. Pratt also discusses how angry he was when the show did a hunting episode, and he wasn’t allowed to participate (as he’s the only member of the cast who actually hunts).
Improv Skills
Here, Michael Schur, co-creator of “Parks and Rec,” discusses what makes the casts’ improvisational skills so impressive, including his favorite improv moment of all-time from the show.
Leslie and Ron
Amy Poehler considers the differences between her bubbly character Leslie and Nick Offerman’s strong and severe Ron.
Ron’s Wood Shop
In the final clip, Patton Oswalt asks Nick Offerman about doing full-frontal nudity on the HBO series “Deadwood,” and talks about Offerman’s real-life similarities to his character Ron Swanson.
