What does this trailer for “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” remind viewers of? Well, Robert Downey Jr. still has the best lines of dialogue, Tony Stark is footing the bill for the Avengers now that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been shut down and Ultron’s ok with messing up ‘Avengers’ tower in New York. Yep, it’s the “final” trailer for ‘The Avengers” (and I use quotes because there could easily be more).
What else do we know? Well, the film seems to take place all over the globe including in South Africa (where we’re likely going to be introduced to Black Panther or his foes), Eastern Europe (where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are from) and of course the heroes are stateside too. There are probably more locations too. The main question: in the original ‘Avengers,’ the super heroes fought off an army of faceless aliens and in this movie is looks like they’ll face off against an armada of faceless robots. Will it be much different? Here’s the official synopsis:
Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” has Joss Whedon behind the camera with Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Bettany, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, James Spader, Stellen Skarsgard, Thomas Kretschmann, Josh Brolin, Claudia Kim and Andy Serkis joining Downey Jr. in the fun. And oh yeah, maybe Julie Delpy too.
‘Age of Ultron’ is set for release in the U.K. on April 23rd and in North America on May 1st. Watch the new trailer below.
