Watch: Jon Stewart Defends Trevor Noah's Twitter Antics on 'The Daily Show'

Not long after the announcement that Comedy Central had hired the newest host of “The Daily Show,” controversy erupted over suggestive tweets from comedian Trevor Noah’s past. 

So on last night’s show, Stewart finally addressed the controversy, and had nothing but good things to say about the future “Daily Show” host. “My experience with him is that he is an incredibly thoughtful and considerate and funny and smart individual, and man, I think if you give him that time it’ll be well worth it,” Stewart said after urging his audience to give Noah the chance to earn their trust and respect. (He also updated the audience on other important news, like who won Wrestlemania last week.)
