ScreenCraft has been helping comedy and horror writers enhance their screenplay skills through various competitions over the years, but now the networking media company is opening their doors to budding science fiction writers thanks to the 1st annual ScreenCraft Sci-Fi Screenplay Contest.
The feature screenplay contest opens for entries today and seeks fresh voices in science fiction screenwriting, a film genre with increasing appeal to the industry and worldwide audiences. The grand prize includes a cash stipend of $2,000 as well as a phone call with a top Hollywood literary manager. This year’s featured judge is legendary Hollywood agent Fred Spektor, whose iconic clients include Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Jeremy Irons and more. Other jurors include script development executives at Lionsgate (Kyle Benn), Universal (Jeannette Frances), Paramount (Wayne Horten) and Sony Pictures (Alden Dalia).
