Focus Features Picks Up Tom Ford's 'A Single Man' Follow Up

It’s almost been six years since Tom Ford showed us what he was capable of as a filmmaker with "A Single Man." And Focus Features is betting big that his follow up will be worth the wait.

Focus spent roughly $20 million for the worldwide rights to Ford’s sophomore feature "Nocturnal Animals," which is based on the novel "Tony and Susan" by Austin Wright. None other than Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams will star in the film, which "follows an art gallery owner who is haunted by her ex-husband’s novel manuscript, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and symbolic tale of revenge."

Production begins this fall.
