John Cameron Mitchell led Nicole Kidman to her third Oscar nomination for "Rabbit Hole," and it looks like the experience was a positive one: The two are set to re-team for "How To Talk To Girls At Parties."
According to Screen Daily, Kidman is in "advanced talks" to join Mitchell’s next film, which is set to shoot in the UK this fall. Ruth Wilson, Matt Lucas and Elle Fanning appear to be rounding out the cast of "Girls at Parties," which will be being launched as a project at Cannes this week. According to Screen:
Mitchell and Philippa Goslett (Little Ashes) have written the screenplay, which is adapted from Neil Gaiman’s short story of the same name in which an alien (Fanning) touring the galaxy breaks away from her group and meets two young inhabitants of the most dangerous place in the universe: the London suburb of Croydon.
It’s being dubbed by Mitchell as "’Romeo and Juliet’ with punks and aliens," which is definitely a tagline that grabs out interest, especially with all these fabulous people involved.
