Watch: David Duchovny Is So Not Groovy With Murderous Hippie Cult Leaders In 'Aquarius' Preview

Los Angeles. 1967. David Duchovny plays homicide detective Sam Hodiak, a “’40s and ’50s cop” having a hard time adjusting to the age of “flower power” in NBC’s 13-episode summer series “Aquarius.” From the preview above, it looks like what Hodiak wants most is to punch his way through the justice system, but wouldn’t you know it, his friend’s daughter is either kidnapped or runs away and winds up living with a certain infamous cult that also functions as a surrogate family. The main guy has a beard. He also introduces himself in the preview by growling, “I’m Charlie Manson,” so by now you’ve likely figured out it’s the Manson Family. There’s also a “cool” undercover cop and a lady cop with an accent! May 28 is only three short weeks away.
