“Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter,” one of the most unique cinema experiences you’ll have this year, is as the title suggests, about the search for hidden treasure. And appropriately enough, we’ve got a special stash of ‘Kumiko’ goodies for some lucky readers.
Starring Rinko Kikuchi in a terrific performance, and directed by David Zellner, the Werner Herzog endorsed movie follows the titular Kumiko, who believes the Coen Brothers‘ film “Fargo” is real, and travels to America to find the briefcase of money buried in the snow. If the premise sounds loopy, it is, but the execution is more soulful than you might expect, with Kumiko not just searching for cash, but also a new life.
So, what do we have to give away? There’s a prize pack containing a Blu-ray of the film, Gold bar “treasure” USB stick with bonus scene, Bunzo and Kumiko buttons, VHS cassette case with film art, mini teaser poster. We’ve also got a couple of runner prizes of a Blu-ray copy of the film.
