Nia Long & Jason Mitchell Join Cast of Key & Peele Comedy Feature 'Keanu'

Nia Long and Jason Mitchell (he plays Eazy-E in the upcoming N.W.A. film, “Straight Outta Compton”) have both joined the cast of the Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele New Line Comedy, “Keanu,” which is to be directed by Peter Atencio, and follows a group of friends posing as drug dealers in order to retrieve a stolen cat.

Method Man and Will Forte are also part of the cast.

Peele penned the script along with Alex Rubens.

New Line has already set an April 22, 2016 release date for the film.

It’s one of a handful of projects that Key & Peele have on their growing to-do list. The duo is hot right now, with a number of projects in some stage of development, including a film adaptation of a popular sketch from their TV show, “Substitute Teacher,” a potential “Police Academy” reboot with Judd Apatow, a horror movie exploring the fears of being a black man today, and more.

The criminally under-used Nia Long will next be seen on the small screen, opposite Mike Epps in the ABC sitcom, “Uncle Buck,” next TV season.

Jason Mitchell’s much-anticipated “Straight Outta Compton” will be in theaters on August 14, 2015.

I love you nina long and jason mitchell

I think this movie is going to be good I can’t wait to see it Jason Mitchell is going to be on there love him … This movie comes out on my birthday

Well, reputation or no, personally I stand by your criminally underused. I would watch pretty much anything with that woman in it. If it wasn’t for my extreme dislike of Kristen Bell I would have considered watching House of Lies.

April – Long for years had a reputation in the business for being very difficult to work with. I know of two directors who have worked with her in past who said that she was (to put it mildly) a nightmare. That was the main reason why she was absent for a few years from the screen. No one wanted to work with her. I assume now that she’s older and wiser she’s much more pleasant to work with

I don’t think Long is criminally underused, she doesn’t appear to have the best attitude, and I believe she’s been absent from film due in large part to her feelings towards the roles available for black women. I’m excited for all things Key and Peele though and want to support their projects because I know it will be a laugh riot.

wasnt gabrielle suppose to be in this?

Anything to give us some variant against Kevin Hart.
