‘Noodles’ Examines Love in Reverse

'Noodles' Examines Love in Reverse

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Noodles

Logline:A short mysterious film about love, told backwards.

Elevator Pitch: “Noodles” is about the kind of intense love that you experience in your early twenties — the one that flames so bright it’s almost painful, and then it flames out, leaving an indelible mark. The story is told backwards in the same way we revisit memories of a relationship after it’s over. We try to figure out what went wrong and why, all the while heading towards that very first meeting and happiness.

Production Team:

Writer/Director: Claire Fowler

In 2014 Claire’s Feature screenplay “Little House” won the Grand Prize in the Shore Scripts Screenwriting Competition and Starz Denver Screenwriting Competition.
“Two Missing” (produced by Parkville Pictures) premiered at Palm Springs International Shortsfest 2014 and Outfest 2014.
Previous (documentary) films include “Portrait As” (premiered International Film Festival  2006) OPEN HEART (premiered Sheffield Doc/Fest 2007)

About the Film: When I was in my late teens and twenties I had a number of relationships that didn’t work out. As I got a bit older, wiser and more cautious it struck me that the most formative emotional experiences I’d had were the broken relationships that had started out with the most promise, the ones I had invested the most in emotionally when I was younger. And sometimes the reason those early relationships hadn’t worked out was possibly more complicated than simply “we were wrong for each other.” I want to explore that intense, formative, broken young love in this film.
