Watch: 'Fear the Walking Dead' Teaser Shows What Fear Looks Like


Well, it’s just running, really, in the first glimpse of footage from AMC’s upcoming “Walking Dead” spinoff, “Fear the Walking Dead.” In the new 30-second spot, Frank Dillane’s Nick is seen fleeing out the window of a decimated Los Angeles neighborhood, and…that’s really it. He sure looks scared, though.

AMC has been a heavy user of teaser trailers that show nothing substantial for some time now. Most recently, “Better Call Saul” employed the strategy to build hype for its first season, but one could trace the strategy all the way back to “Mad Men.” Matthew Weiner famously didn’t want to spoil anything on his award-winning drama, but he had to turn in “Next week on…” teasers to follow every new episode. So, he created the indecipherable ads viewers saw every week.

Now, “Fear the Walking Dead” is joining the club, as plenty of secrecy veils Robert Kirkman’s new summer series. New episodes premiere this August. Watch the teaser above.
