Despite promising dreamy and unnerving scenes, involving intense action from gigantic fires to violent fights, “Sense8” does not forgo the opportunity to explore individual storylines — from a transgender blogger in San Francisco to an angsty London-based DJ to a police officer in Chicago — and this pretty and yet eerie concept trailer hints at the simultaneous individuality and connectivity of these characters.

Created by the Wachowskis (“The Matrix” films) and J. Michael Straczynski (“Babylon 5”), all 12 episodes will launch Friday, June 5.
