Watch: Rashida Jones Discusses the Complexities of 'Hot Girls Wanted' With VICE

The Sundance-sensation “Hot Girls Wanted” continues to gain momentum long after its festival run thanks to its May premiere on Netflix, which has ignited conversations surrounding the lucrative porn industry and the increasingly-accepting culture around it. The film enters the world of “amateur” porn in Miami where girls enter the industry at barely-legal ages, and it raises difficult questions in terms of how porn should be treated and where it exists in the context of modern day feminism.

Rashida Jones (“Parks and Recreation”) served as the documentary’s producer, and she continues her nuanced, albeit controversial, discussion of “this conflation of pop culture and porn that’s happening right now” with “VICE Meets” host Gianna Toboni. The two of them candidly discuss the violent acts against women in pornography and where consent, intention and internalization exist in such acts.
