Some shows are great for binge-viewing because they’re simply enjoyable from start to finish. Others take advantage of their serialized construction to keep folks on edge for hours on end. Some shows hide juicy comedic nuggets in their fast-talking dialogue or densely-packed mise en scene. “BoJack Horseman” implemented pieces of all the above in its first season, so much so that the Netflix comedy-with-a-dark-side demands to be seen again and again in order to garner a full appreciation of Raphael Bob Waksberg’s vision. 

Before Season 2 starts on Friday, we thought it would be a good idea to highlight a few of our favorite moments from Season 1; namely the ones some binge-drunk viewers may have missed on the first go-round. Now, there are famously hundreds of background jokes in “BoJack Horseman,” and this is far from a comprehensive list.
