Michael K. Williams Adds 'Ghostbusters' and 'Assassin's Creed' to His Busy Schedule

IFC will premiere "The Spoils Before Dying" (described as a debaucherous pulp-noir murder mystery set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles’ jazz scene) as a 3-night miniseries event which Michael K. Williams stars in, this Wednesday, July 8.

Ahead of that, the actor is said to be in talks to join the casts of the all-woman “Ghostbusters” movie reboot, and the adaptation of the video game “Assassin’s Creed.”

Both roles will be supporting characters, according to Variety who broke the news, but no word yet on what exactly they will be.

“Ghostbusters," directed by Paul Feig, stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy.

"Assassin’s Creed,” which stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, will be directed by Justin Kurzel.

The busy Mr Williams is currently booked to co-star in Sundance TV’s “Hap and Leonard,” based on the crime novel franchise of the same name by Joe Lansdale – a Southern set wry thriller centered on an unlikely friendship between a straight white southern man, and a gay African American Vietnam veteran. Together, the 2 best friends wind up in trouble with various criminals as they attempt to solve local crimes. They work for a former police officer turned private investigator.

Williams will play the Vietnam vet.
