The pressure is on Ben Affleck to deliver a Batman worthy of iconic and distinct turns by Michael Keaton and Christian Bale in “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice,” but the actor isn’t sweating it one bit. “Batman is basically the American version of Hamlet,” he told EW. “We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations.”
So, how will his character be different? Well, Affleck notes his Bruce Wayne will be older than any previous incarnation and he’ll be bit more worse for the wear. “He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it,” he explained.
It’s an intriguing variation that will be interesting to see unfold, as this new image reveals, in the film he’ll certainly know who Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is. However, the question is whether he suspects that she spends her time when not attending fancy black tie events, fighting crime as Wonder Woman. My guess would be yes. And the magazine has revealed more images of Superman and Lex Luthor too.
Warner Bros. will certainly have more to share from the movie at Comic-Con in just a couple of weeks. “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” opens on March 25, 2016. Pics below.
