Thanks to Danny Elfman's Spine-Chilling Soundtrack For 'Nightbreed,' It's Halloween in July

Danny Elfman’s nightmarish soundtrack for the 1990 film “Nightbreed” is getting the royal LP treatment. The soundtrack will be released on vinyl with artwork by Rich Kelly. “Nightbreed” serves as a kind of digression from his work with Burton, yet it still showcases his ability to expertly score surreal and horrific stories. The cult flick comes from the mind of Clive Barker (“Hellraiser”) and puts forth the mythical places of Midian, where monsters lurk and hide from humanity. Songs like “Into Midian Meat for the Beast” and “Carnival Underground” are just some of the ghoulish tunes accompanying the fantasy-horror film.
