The British Film Institute continues to fete Orson Welles’ centennial with this Q&A with Mel Brooks, who shares a funny — and very Wellesian — anecdote about their collaboration on "History of the World, Part I." When Brooks tapped Welles to narrate the comedy in 1981, he budgeted $5,000 a day for five days. But Welles finished the voiceover before the first day was over, and told Brooks he wanted to spend the money on Cuban cigars and caviar.
