New footage continues to roll in for “Southpaw,” the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing drama that is hitting theaters next week.
The latest clip released shifts the focus to Maureen (Rachel McAdams), the loving wife of Billy “The Great” Hope (Gyllenhaal), Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World. The 30-second snippet finds her in friendly disagreement with Billy’s lifelong manager and friend, Jordan Mains (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson), as he discusses the future of his client’s career.
With much of the footage released thus far spotlighting Gyllenhaal’s physical transformation, this new clip nicely showcases two of the film’s most prominent supporting players, while also setting the stage for some potentially serious conflict.
