Watch: The Past is Deadly in Exclusive Trailer for TIFF Crime Drama 'Cut Snake'

The new film from award-winning director Tony Ayres (“Nowhere Boys”) is gearing up for its fall release with a newly approved U.S. trailer.

Cut Snake” stars Alex Russell as Sparra, an ex-convict who tries to leave his criminal past behind and start anew. When he becomes engaged and starts a new life with his fiancee, Sparra’s old cellmate Pommie, played by Sullivan Stapleton, draws him back into the life of crime and challenges the new life he was creating for himself. 

The film also stars Jessica De Gouw as Sparra’s fiancee, Paula. The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and is expected to hit theaters in October. Check out the trailer above.
