Brad Pitt's Amazon Adventure 'Lost City of Z' Starts Principal Photography

The jungle adventure stars Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland for Brad Pitt’s Plan B at Paramount. The film will continue filming in Colombia throughout September and October.
 
New Yorker scribe David Grann’s riveting nonfiction bestseller “The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Amazon Obsession” serves as the basis for the movie; MICA Entertainment is financing.  In “Lost City of Z,” Percy Fawcett, a soldier-turned-explorer, obsessively explores the Amazon jungles of Brazil in search of a mythical city, only to disappear in the 1920s. Other explorers follow in his footsteps.

Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are producing via Plan B Entertainment along with Anthony Katagas and Dale Johnson. MadRiver Pictures’ Marc Butan is executive producing as are MICA Entertainment’s Julie B. May and Glenn Murray. Sierra/Affinity is handling international sales of the title; CAA is selling domestic rights.
