Hey, NYC: Come Celebrate Our 19th Birthday With Rooftop Films and a Special Screening of SXSW Winner ‘Krisha’

Hey, NYC: Come Celebrate Our 19th Birthday With Rooftop Films and a Special Screening of SXSW Winner 'Krisha'

What’s a party without a little drama? Indiewire is turning nineteen this year and, as luck would have it, so are our good friends over at Rooftop Films.

To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with Rooftop to throw a big joint birthday party, complete with a special sneak preview of Trey Edward Shults’ SXSW Grand Jury Prize-winning drama “Krisha,” and we want you to come!

Shults’ film expands on his short of the same name to craft “a formally inventive look at the tenuous ties that bind and one interloper’s desperate attempts to keep them together.”

If you’re in or around New York City, you can join us for this very special event in Brooklyn on Thursday, August 20.

Venue — The Bushwick Generator
Address — 195 Moore St., Bushwick, BK
8:00PM — Doors open and reception
8:30PM — Live music
9:00PM — Film begins
10:30PM — Q&A with filmmaker Trey Shults
10:45PM — After party

You can RSVP for the event over at Rooftop Films, and be sure to mention if you’re bringing a guest. The more the merrier.

This event is presented in partnership with Rooftop Films, SXSW, ABS Partners, The Williamsburg Hotel, The Bushwick Hotel, New Amsterdam Vodka and Brewery Ommegang.
