I am Jugger

Logline: Documentary film about Jugger, sport created by David Webb Peoples the screenwriter of Blade Runner.

Elevator Pitch: 

“I am Jugger” is a collaborative documentary project with the entire international community of the sport known as Jugger.
The documentary will chronicle the origins of Jugger, an alternative sport inspired by the film “The Salute of the Jugger” written by David Webb Peoples. Peoples, also the screenwriter of “Blade Runner,” “12 Monkeys” and “Unforgiven” is supporting the “I am Jugger” project.
Jugger is a sport in which two teams of five players face each other on the field. Each match has two halves and the objective is to score points by placing the ball inside the opponents goal.

Alex Asensi, Director and Script.
The creator of the project, Alex Asensi is a player jugger since 6 years ago. He became interested in the idea of creating a documentary about jugger due to a fascination with its values and its unique story related to the cinema.
Rafa G. Sanchez, Editor.
Filmmaker of different projects like Hydro (2014), a multi awarded collaborative documentary and the man behind the edition and video mixing.
Yago Cordero, Sound and Postproduction.
Founder of Reciclaje Records, he works in many indie movies and joined the project in 2015 to help us to create a special ambient and mixing the matches, interviews and designing the sound for the documentary.

About the Film:

There is nothing in the world similar to jugger. It is a unique sport and deserves to be recognized. And most importantly, there are thousands of stories that deserve to be told, and we want to show them to you in this documentary. We want to show you the passion players feel for jugger. 
This documentary is the perfect opportunity to promote this sport internationally, and tell the story of the players and their experiences.
