Netflix Renews The Wachowskis' 'Sense8' For Season 2

They kept the show’s fans hanging on a bit longer than they usually do, but Netflix has finally tabulated the data and decided that The Wachowskis‘ “Sense8” is worthy of a second season.

The show received very mixed reviews (our critic in particular was not a fan), but the filmmakers’ ambitious storytelling has always been somewhat divisive. There are no official details yet on where the story is going, or how extensive the involvement will be for the Wachowskis (they directed seven of the first season’s twelve episodes), as the show’s producer Grant Hill recently indicated the siblings are far from done with movies.

“They are always going to go back and forth between formats, as they bring something new dramatically and actively to their stories. They’ll continue to explore boundaries. It’s an extension of their process doing [a series like ‘Sense8’] in a different format,” he said.

There are no ideas on dates when season two might arrive, but late 2016 is probably a good guess. Are you glad its back? If you haven’t seen it, are you going to give the show a shot? Let us know below. [The Verge]
