Society of Lincoln Center unveiled Laurie Anderson’s New York Film Festival poster earlier today, celebrating 53 years of showcasing the world’s best cinematic offerings.
“We are thrilled to welcome Laurie Anderson to the NYFF
family, and to have an artist of her caliber carry on this 53-year tradition,”
said FSLC Board Chairman Ann Tenenbaum. “Her innovative and daring work is a
perfect representation of what we strive to achieve annually at the festival,
and throughout the year at the Film Society.”
Anderson and her artwork join a celebrated group of artists, including Andy
Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Julian Schnabel, Cindy Sherman and last year’s artist Laurie Simmons.
The 53rd New York Film Festival opens on
