Toronto International Film Festival Announces City to City and Wavelengths Slates, Including Major Installation by Apichatpong Weerasethakul

The Toronto International Film Festival has unveiled their picks for their inventive Wavelengths program, including 54 films, videos and
installations by some of the world’s most influential auteurs and artists “who challenge conventional expression and seek to redefine
the art of cinema.” TIFF has also announced their new slate of City to City features.

The 2015 edition of Wavelengths “features a seductive mix of master filmmakers, award-winning artists and emerging, new talent,” including Miguel Gomes’ three-part “Arabian Nights,” new films from Nicolás Pereda and Mark Lewis, restored archival prints of films by Paul Sharits and by Philippe Garrel, along with a “major” new installation from Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

The City to City program “showcases adventurous new works by contemporary
directors living and working” in London “and will expose audiences to the fearless cinema emerging from the region.” Both programs promise new works sure to excite all TIFF-goers.

Wavelengths and City to City sections of the TIFF 2015 lineup. The festival runs September 10-20.
