Put on your winter coat and get your guns ready, Quentin Tarantino is back on the big screen with what looks to be one bloody good Christmas present.
Days after releasing the the film’s new poster, The Weinstein Company has debuted the official teaser for Tarantino’s latest genre epic, “The Hateful Eight.” The Western follows a bounty hunter (Kurt Russell) traveling with a prisoner (a roughed up Jennifer Jason Leigh) to Wyoming. While taking shelter from the winter cold at a trading post lodge, they encounter a group of men who can’t be trusted and who all want their hands on the bounty. Samuel Jackson, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins and Damian Bechir round out the star-studded cast.
The new trailer above plays like a Tarantino greatest hits collection, with the director returning to the Western genre after the huge success of “Django Unchained,” and a number of his most famous collaborators coming back for more action in front of and behind the camera, most notably cinematographer Robert Richardson.
“The Hateful Eight” begins a 70mm road tour on Christmas Day and will hit theaters nationwide on January 8.
