Hannah Fidell’s “6 Years” chronicles the rise and fall of a young romance between two high school students, played by Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield. Executive produced by Mark and Jay Duplass, the film hits iTunes and On Demand platforms today.

In celebration of the release, a new deleted scene from the movie has been released that gives insight into the dissonance that threatens to tear the couple apart. In the scene above, Melanie (Farmiga) doesn’t seem all too interested in Dan’s (Rosenfield) latest song on the guitar. “It was good. It’s not very happy is it?” she asks.

“6 Years” will be hitting Netflix on September 8.
