Maybe Marvel should consider this guy for the Black Panther movie…

In July 2014, I featured a fan-made short based on the Marvel comic book superhero from Wakanda, titled “Storms of Carnage: The Black Panther Unleashed,” written, directed, and edited by D.A. Jackson, starring Wester Joseph, Jeff Moise, Kieran McGrail, Stacston Carter, and D. Al’Deighmian Jackson.

Even Storm made an appearance towards the end of it.

This was all months before Marvel made the official announcement of a Black Panther movie, with Chadwick Boseman in the starring role.

According to the filmmaker, the short, serving as a kind of origins movie, was made with “only about $50 and a bag of trail mix,” adding that, “we set out to make the best fan film we could imagine. ‘Storms of Carnage’ was the result. We hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it.”

What I didn’t know at the time was that there would be a part 2, which the production team has been hard at work on since last year. It’s not complete, and has been released. Titled “The Black Panther vs Storm and the Xmen: Storms of Carnage Part 2,” watch the 22-minute piece below.

Although you might want to watch part 1 (“Storms of Carnage: The Black Panther Unleashed”) first, which immediately follows. And after it, you’ll find the newly-released part 2:

And here’s part 2 of the series:
