Broad Green Pictures Adds 'Last Days in The Desert' Starring Ewan McGregor to 2016 Slate

Broad Green Pictures has added acclaimed writer-director
Rodrigo García’s (“Mother and
Child”) “Last
Days in the Desert” to their 2016 film slate. The character study debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and stars Ewan McGregor
as both Jesus and the Devil in the heat of a tense tug of war.

The film follows Jesus
in an imagining of his forty days of solitude, fasting and praying in the
desert. He struggles with the Devil over the fate of an ordinary family in
crisis, forcing himself to face a difficult test with distinctly human struggles.

“‘Last
Days in the Desert’ is an ambitious and unique film that
deserves an equally-as-unique release plan and pattern,” said Dylan Wiley,
Broad Green’s President of Specialty Releasing. “We’re very pleased
to be partnering with Tugg and Different Drummer to bring it to audiences
everywhere in a meaningful and innovative manner.”

Broad Green Pictures is planning a 2016 release.
