Check Out The Beautiful Poster For Todd Haynes' 'Carol'

Ahead of its first screening Stateside this weekend at Telluride, The Weinstein Company has released the poster for Todd Haynes’ “Carol” — and it’s a stunner:


The film — in which  Phyllis Nagy that adapts the late, great Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Price of Salt” — is in theaters November 20th. It stars Cate Blanchett stars in the titular role as a 1950s-era married woman who begins a romantic relationship with a young store clerk played by Rooney Mara.

Haynes typically renders hallmarks of American culture in surprising ways that unearth the hidden codes governing human behavior. “Carol” is no exception.
