About the Film:
”Mass incarceration, shootings and violence against communities based on race fill our headlines and I wanted to do something about it,” says Andre Gaines, the film’s director. “I admire Dick Gregory’s mission for civil equality. “There is a need to share his wisdom with a new generation of young activists who want to make a difference. Dick Gregory was the perfect fit to tell the story of American survival. What he believes in and what his mission has been for all of his adult life is to change lives. Everything he stands for is what this film is about.”
