Sebastián Silva’s “Nasty Baby” is a daring dramedy centered on a Brooklyn couple (Silva, Tunde Adebimpe) and their attempt to have a baby with their best friend (Kristen Wiig). According to the official synopsis, “The film follows the trio as they navigate the idea of creating life while confronted by growing harassment from a menacing local known as ‘The Bishop’ (Reg E. Cathey). As things take a dark turn, their joyous pursuit of parenthood is suddenly clouded.”

“Nasty Baby” is Silva’s fifth film, following titles such as “Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus” and “Magic Magic.” “Nasty Baby” has already won a Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the Berlin International Film Festival, and it is being heralded as a career best for Silva. The film first debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, where it shocked audiences with its particularly nasty plot twist.

“Nasty Baby” is set to hit select theaters October 23, and it will be available on iTunes and On Demand starting October 30. Catch the exclusive poster above.
