sheet suitable for downloading into your own database of all the 271
new features being screened. This important information is the basis
for the upcoming
season of festivals and markets and is important for acquisition executives, programmers and all cinephiles.
The 271 feature films showing at TIFF 2015 (limited to films 1st
shown in 2014 or 2015) is up to date as of Tuesday, Sept. 8. “Amazing
withdrawn by its producers.
The information is sortable and lists abbreviated section of the
festival, film title, director with credits, country of origin, US
producer rep, international sales agent, Toronto premier status,
pas festival, US release date when known, running time, major cast,
57 features are directed by women this year. That’s about 20
percent of the program. Nine are from U.S., six from France, five from
Canada, three from
India, three from U.K., two from Hong Kong, two from Austria and
two from Israel. Singles come from Mexico, Brazil, Greece, Tunis,
Ethiopia, Japan, Taiwan, Norway, Palestine, New Zealand,
Pakistan and Sweden.
220 films have international sales agents ready to license
rights. Four have Talent Agencies representing international rights and
can be licensed from
42 are being repped for the US by agencies or indie producer
reps, with CAA repping 18, Cinetic repping 7, WME repping 6, UTA repping
repping 3 and the other agencies such as Gersh, ICM, Paradigm
and APA repping single titles.
82 have U.S. Distribution already.
Soon after the festival, all rights no longer available will be reported on as well by distributor.
