The Mill Valley Film Festival has announced the full lineup for its 2015 schedule. The Marin County-based event is in its 38th year and will run from October 8-18.
The festival will open with screenings of Tom Hooper’s “The Danish Girl,” starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander, and Tom McCarthy’s “Spotlight,” starring Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams. The festival will close a week later with “Suffragette,” starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep. The schedule also includes spotlights on such talents as Sarah Silverman, Brie Larson and Carey Mulligan, as well as tributes to Ian McKellen and Catherine Hardwicke.
Other films on the lineup include “Truth,” “Brooklyn,” “The Assassin,” “Carol,” “Beasts of No Nation” and the U.S. premiere of Justin Kurzel’s “Macbeth,” starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
