Can you still hear the eerie theme song playing in the distance? Does Michael Myers’ prosthetic William Shatner mask still give you the heebie jeebies?
Fresh off the heels of FOX’s new Scream Queens series, Fathom Events is drumming up some classic 70’s scares with a special one day only re-release of writer-director John Carpenter’s career-defining original "Halloween." Jamie Lee Curtis, who reprised her role as Laurie in Steve Miner’s "Halloween: H20," will be back in more than 220 theaters across the U.S. as the final girl stock character that made her famous nearly 37 years ago. Carpenter’s main trick, besides his use of innovative POV steadicam shots, was that rather than offer up yet another screaming victim, Laurie fights back.
The re-release will also include a special introduction by Carpenter when it bows on October 29th.
Tickets for the one day event are currently on sale.
