Stephen Dunn’s ‘Closet Monster’ Wins Toronto’s Best Canadian Feature Award

Stephen Dunn's 'Closet Monster' Wins Toronto's Best Canadian Feature Award

After a Toronto International Film Festival full of wildly disappointing LGBT films, one of the few major bright spots just won big at the festival’s awards. Stephen Dunn’s debut feature "Closet Monster" managed the major feat of winning the Best Canadian Feature award — despite first films usually designated to the "Best Canadian First Feature" award (where another great Canuck film, "Sleeping Giants," won).

Congrats to the team behind the film. Here’s hoping a US distributor is in the process of snapping up the rights to film (or if they weren’t, that this award persuades them to do so ASAP).
