At this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, there was a real sense of camaraderie, with many ensemble casts dominating stories throughout the sizable lineup.
Take runaway festival favorite Brie Larson, who has used nearly every opportunity to highlight how her performance in “Room” is a testament to her relationship with her elementary-school-aged co-star, Jacob Tremblay. Or the iconic screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, whose work on “Anomalisa” brought him back to the director’s chair, but this time alongside Duke Johnson.
These shots feature groups that span genres, nations and species (trust us, you’ll know what we mean when you see it), all captured by photographer Daniel Bergeron at Indiewire’s TIFF portrait studio.
