SCROLL DOWN FOR THE VIDEO WHICH IS NOW ARCHIVED AND AVAILABLE TO WATCH ANYTIME
I’m only just learning about this, but now you know, so get prepped to watch this later on this evening via the player embedded below.
The 7:30pm start time listed in the above poster is PST, meaning for those on the east coast, it’ll be kicking off at 10:30pm EST. Not too late I hope for most of you; I’ll certainly be up watching it. Although, thankfully, I’m told that the entire conversation will be made available online some time after tonight’s live-stream. They don’t say when exactly that will be, however.
The deets from the press release follow…
“Two-time Academy Award, Tony, and Golden Globe winning actor and filmmaker Denzel Washington will share with us an evening of insightful stories and anecdotes about his work on stage and screen. Having acted in over 54 films, over the past several years he has returned to the stage starring in the Broadway productions of August Wilson’s ‘Fences,’ Lorraine Hansberry’s classic drama ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ and Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar.’ Dr. Todd Boyd is the Katherine and Frank Price Endowed Chair for the Study of Race and Popular Culture and Professor of Cinema and Media Studies in the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Special thanks to the Annenberg Foundation for their generous support.”
The self-proclaimed “Notorious Ph.D.” Todd Boyd will be leading the conversation.
The live-stream player is embedded below, so when the event begins, simply return to this post, and click the play button.
This should be an interesting conversation.
