Transgender Men Embrace Life and Love in Brooklyn in Web Series 'Brothers'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film, web series, TV pilot, what-have-you in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a project you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Brothers

Logline: Testosterone is thicker than water.

Elevator Pitch:
“Brothers” was the first scripted series, either broadcast or online, to not only feature narratives about transgender men, but also cast trans actors in the main roles. Take a look at what it means to live life as a transgender individual in today’s urban society.

Production Team:
Writer/Director – Emmett Jack Lundberg
Producer – Sheyam Ghieth
DP – Chris Rodriguez

About the Film:
Being a trans man, I was inspired by my own experience and the extreme lack of trans male visibility to take on a series that shed some light on this topic. Transgender narratives by transgender storytellers are so incredibly important at this juncture, when media coverage of trans topics increases by the day.

At “Brothers,” our aim is to put out something that is as authentic as possible and we are continually empowered by the response from viewers who can finally see themselves on screen.

Current Status: Fundraising for Season 2.
