Watch: 5-Minute IMAX Trailer For Robert Zemeckis' 'The Walk' Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Robert Zemeckis has decided to utilize both 3D and the large format screen to tell the true story of Philippe Petit, who decided to do a high-wire walk across the Twin Towers in 1970s New York City. If you’ve already seen James Marsh‘s documentary “Man On Wire,” then you know the story, but Zemeckis hopes his dramatization, which co-stars Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon, and James Badge Dale will be an immersive experience.

The Walk” premieres at the New York Film Festival on Saturday, September 26th, opens exclusively on IMAX on September 30th, and nationwide on October 9th. Watch below.
