Just a couple of weeks after giving Sundance hit “James White” a November release date, The Film Arcade has released an emotionally haunting debut trailer for the upcoming awards contender. Starring Christopher Abbott and Cynthia Nixon, the acclaimed drama won the Best of NEXT Award at Sundance and will stop at TIFF before its November theatrical release.
Abbott plays the eponymous James White, whose self-destructive lifestyle must be reevaluated after his mother (Cynthia Nixon) gets diagnosed with cancer. The Film Arcade has already announced an awards push for the film’s lead performances, and the visceral trailer proves why such a movie is a no-brainer.
“James White” will open on November 13 in limited release. Watch the debut trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.
