A twisted and bizarre new trailer has been released for the German black comedy “Der Bunker.” The film, directed by Nikias Chryssos, had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year, and will play at this year’s Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.

The above trailer sees a young graduate student going to live with a family in their windowless, underground bunker (as all families have), so that he may better focus on a project he describes only as “scientific.” Once the young man has been hermetically sealed away with the bizarre husband and wife, they task him with tutoring their son, Klaus. Unfortunately for the young academic, Klaus is a nearly unteachable student, and the longer he stays in the bunker, the harder it is to tell whether Klaus or his parents are more deranged.

Der Bunker will have its U.S. premiere at Fantastic Fest and will be distributed by Artsploitation Films.
