Watch: 'Late Late Show with James Corden' Goes Full Broadway With Jesse Tyler Ferguson Lament

When “The Late Late Show” relaunched this spring with James Corden behind the desk, one question became how big of a part the Tony-winning actor’s musical theater background would play on the show. Answer: Well, they’re not gonna run away from it.

Last night, as Allison “the new Ed Asner” Janney talked with Corden about her seventh and record-setting Emmy win, Ferguson (a five-time nominee who’s never won) turned to the audience to lament not his lack of wins, but Corden ignoring him. What ensues is pretty stirring, especially for anyone who likes “Part of Your World,” “I Wanna Be a Producer” or other “I Want” songs.
